Millions of Americans suffer the symptoms of depression every day: feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, guilt, sadness, difficulty concentrating and trouble sleeping or oversleeping. It’s more than just feeling low for a few days; it’s feeling consistently “low†and “down†for weeks or more. According to the National Institute for Mental Health (NIMH), “Major depressive disorder, also called major depression, is characterized by a combination of symptoms that interfere with a person’s ability to work, sleep, study, eat and enjoy once-pleasurable activities.â€
If you are generally healthy and have been diagnosed with major depression, or think you may be depressed, you may qualify to participate in a research study evaluating an investigational medication for Major Depressive Disorder. Eligible participants receive study-related medical and psychiatric evaluations, study medication, and compensation for time and travel expenses.
If you are interested in participating in this research study, please fill out the brief form to the right. Or, call the Recruiting Coordinator at (305) 445-5637
